My wife and I both have cell phones. Our children are grown and sometimes, our grandchildren come to our home. Not all of them have Cell phones. I want to be able to call them if they are here and I want them to be able to call me. That's why I keep a home phone! I pay around $50 PER YEAR (not month, per year) which works out to less than $5 per month AND when I switched to them I was given the option to keep my home phone number (by law, I own it so there!) My favorite story about how important my home phone is to me (at my wife's expense) below:
My wife rides a horse. Her horse "lives" at a barn about an hour away from our home. One day, my wife left her cell phone at the barn and realized it once she got home. I was out of town working. She walked across the street to my neighbor and had them text me to let me know she was okay but had left her phone. The relief I felt that we had a home phone (that she had apparently forgotten) is indescribable; I did not want her to not be able to call 911 if something happened. I emailed her (her computer is her friend) and reminded her that we had a home phone with unlimited Long Distance and suggested she call me. She did. We laughed and now I have a story to embarrass her with (hey, her biggest embarrassment is being married to me so I'm just getting even! )
Nice thing is, you can have the SAME service I have for the SAME price I pay. Here is the link! Quality service and one more perk: They have a cell phone app that allows you to take a make your home calls on your Cell phone. Cool, Huh! Here is the link! Feel free to ask me about it raymond@fiberinternetpartners.com.
